Healthy banana and chocolate smoothie

I bought some raw cacao nibs as part of the health odyssey that I am on currently and when I tasted them I was a bit disappointed as, on their own, they taste so bitter and, well, not very nice! I was a bit annoyed as they cost £9 for a big ol’ tub! They are packed with antioxidants so I wanted to make the most of them…

Well, I have found the way to use them and boy do they taste good like this. I wanted to make a smoothie that my kids would actually like. A lot of my Nutribullet creations are just too green and healthy for their pallettes – not surprising. But this thick, sweet, delicious smoothie is a treat but also wholesome and packed with goodies. Even for adults, if you fancy a sweet treat that is quite good for you, then try this recipe. It will work in a normal blender too so you don’t need a fancy pants one like I have!
As my son said “YUM! It tastes like COOKIES!”
Just an idea – these would make great, creamy ice lollies so why not make double and freeze half in lolly moulds?
