I made 6 varieties of chocolate bark recently for netmums. I couldn’t believe how incredibly fun it was and a total doddle too. I will definitely be making these for edible gifts at Christmas. Everyone who tried them loved all the weird and wonderful flavour combos (I felt a bit like Willy Wonka!) and no one could believe I’d made them – charming!
Flavour-wise, I tried to cover OTT childishly sweet and gooey, to sophisticated and grown up. Just do whatever you think will look good and taste nice.
Clockwise, starting top right: white chocolate with mini marshmallows and hundreds and thousands; dark chocolate with meringue and dried cranberries; white chocolate with dried chilli flakes; dark chocolate with stem ginger and sea salt; white chocolate with popping candy, pink sugar and gold leaf; dark chocolate with brazil nuts and desiccated coconut.
Have a go – top with whatever takes your fancy! I got all my ingredients from a local Co-op – raiding the healthy aisle as well as the baking aisle. They have a great selection there, so I’m sure other supermarkets will too.
